Freycinet & Wineglass Bay Walk – Life’s An Adventure


  • Walk the Freycinet Peninsula and Wineglass Bay with no heavy backpack, returning to your Deluxe Spa Cabin at Freycinet Lodge to eat and sleep each night.
  • Sail to the southern end of the peninsula, disembarking to hike back over Mount Graham and return to the Lodge.

    Explore the Freycinet Peninsula and Wineglass Bay as three separate day-hikes, returning to your Deluxe Spa Cabin at Freycinet Lodge each night to eat at Bay Restaurant and sleep surrounded by native flora. See the peninsula from a different angle as you sail from Coles Bay to Cooks Beach on day two, returning to the lodge on foot.

    INCLUSIONS

    • Accommodation for 2 nights in a Deluxe Spa Cabin at Freycinet Lodge, situated in Freycinet National Park.
    • Return transfers from the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Hobart (hikers must meet here at 8:00am even if not staying here)
    • All National Park Entry Fees
    • Professional dedicated and friendly tour guide
    • Food – 2 dinners and 2 full buffet breakfasts at Freycinet Lodge (dinners served with a glass of wine), 3 lunches, fruit and trailmix while on the trail
    • Morning sail on day 2 to Cooks Beach
    • Small group size with a maximum of 8 walkers

    • Walking time: 4-8 hours walking per day
    • Walking distance: 4-16 kilometres per day
    • Difficulty: Medium to hard. A good level of fitness is needed to complete this walk. Includes beach walking and steep mountain sections.

  • ITINERARY

    Day One Meet at Hotel Grand Chancellor in Hobart at 8:00am for an 8:15am departure, heading to Coles Bay.
    Walk from Coles Bay to Freycinet Lodge, crossing Wineglass Bay which has been voted as one of the top 10 beaches in the world.
    Day Two Sail from Coles Bay to Cooks Beach at the southern end of Freycinet Peninsula.
    Disembark the boat to hike back over Mount Graham, passing Wineglass Bay to return to Freycinet Lodge for the night.
    Day Three Walk from the Lodge to the summit of Mount Amos, part of the range of granite mountains known as The Hazards, overlooking Coles Bay.
    Return to Hotel Grand Chancellor in Hobart at approximately 3:30pm. If booking flights from Hobart, don’t book earlier than 6:30pm.
