Born from my passion for hiking and outdoor adventure, AussieHikingTours.com has existed (in my head, mostly) since I took my first Australian guided hike on Sydney’s Royal Coast in 2013. My love affair with hiking started in 2008, which is also when I started working on the award-winning website Bushwalking Blog. Having previously done most of my hiking solo, my first guided tour opened my eyes to the huge benefit that local knowledge provides on a hike, and the bonus of hanging out with other like-minded travellers. I’ve since done a handful of the tours now listed here, and you’ll be able to click through to my blog post whenever that’s the case.
AussieHikingTours.com is for you, whether you’re as hiking-mad as me or you’re less able bodied and would rather be driven around to shorter nature trails and boardwalks. I’m here to make things easier for you when you’re looking to take a nature-based tour, by providing a tool that will help you discover tours that suit your needs, compare the different options, and then secure your place. For some tours, I even list information that tour operators don’t list on their own websites.
Although the selection is huge I’m pretty familiar with what’s on offer here, and I’ll be incredibly jealous when anyone books a tour that I want to do myself (ie. every single one of them). If you’re interested in some kayaking or cycling with your hiking, there are a bunch of multi-sport tours listed. If you love a walk but don’t want to sleep rough, I’ve got loads of inn-to-inn trips. There really is something for everyone.
